Briggsdale is 10-0 against the Bulldogs since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Briggsdale Falcons will play host again and welcome the Peetz Bulldogs, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Briggsdale is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in Colorado (the Falcons are ranked 39th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 299th).
In what's become a running theme this season, Briggsdale gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Haxtun with a sharp 58-33 victory. Briggsdale pushed the score to 58-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Fightin' Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.
Briggsdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jenna Krise, who scored 26 points along with six steals and five assists. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Krise has scored at least a third of Briggsdale's points. Kayl Klem was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine steals and eight assists.
Meanwhile, Peetz's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Caliche at home and fell 68-30. Peetz was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.
Briggsdale pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Peetz, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
Everything came up roses for Briggsdale against the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in February of 2021 as the squad secured a 70-7 win. With Briggsdale ahead 36-2 at the half, the game was all but over already.
