Basketball Recap: Briarcrest Christian Skates Past Middle College with Ease

Briarcrest Christian's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 53-23 blowout they got against the Middle College Bulldogs. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 30 points or more this season.

Kendall Jones was nothing short of spectacular: she went 8 for 14 on her way to 19 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellen Adair, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Briarcrest Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Briarcrest Christian's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5. As for Middle College, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.

Briarcrest Christian will head out on the road to square off against Baylor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Middle College, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fayette Ware at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Middle College is facing Fayette Ware at the right time seeing as Fayette Ware is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
