The Williston Mighty Red Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Belleview Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Williston was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Interlachen on Thursday. The Mighty Red Devils blew past the Rams 14-3.

The team relied heavily on Colby Jansen, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Williston's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-9 when he doesn't). Cannon Sims was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Williston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Belleview got themselves on the board against Lake Weir on Thursday, but Lake Weir never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Hurricanes with a sharp 15-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rattlers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Shea Young and Larry Quartararo made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Young tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Quartararo tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Young got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Quartararo got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Those two RBI gave Young a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ja'Mere Frymire was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Logan Chen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
Belleview is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Williston, their record is now 12-9.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Williston has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .437. However, it's not like Belleview struggles in that department as they've averaged .451. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
