The Chazy Eagles lost against the Boquet Valley Griffins back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Chazy was outmatched by Boquet Valley on the road and fell 62-32. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chazy in their matchups with Boquet Valley: they've now lost nine in a row.
Boquet Valley can attribute much of their success to Jackson Hooper, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hooper has scored at least 25% of Boquet Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bode Buehler, who scored 13 points.
Chazy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Boquet Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Willsboro Central the next time they take the court. Boquet Valley will head out to face Willsboro Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chazy will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
