Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ryan Tientcheu, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jordan Horm, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Urbana scored an imposing 57 points on Thursday, Governor Thomas Johnson still came out on top. Governor Thomas Johnson walked away with a 67-57 win over Urbana. Given Governor Thomas Johnson's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Urbana is ranked 162nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Paint Branch's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-1. As for Governor Thomas Johnson, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
