Basketball Game Preview: Fletcher Senators vs. Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles

The Fletcher Senators will challenge the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fletcher has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Fletcher is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 76-67 to Mandarin on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (58), the Senators still had to take the loss.

Defeat or not, Fletcher got some senior leadership from Ryder Kay and Ryan Bailey. Kay went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points, while Bailey went 7 of 13 on his way to 18 points in addition to six boards and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kay has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Rivera, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Episcopal School of Jacksonville fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Impact Christian Academy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to the Lions. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fletcher's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3.
