Sauk Rapids-Rice is 2-8 against Fergus Falls since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Hopefully Sauk Rapids-Rice focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Friday.
Sauk Rapids-Rice pushed their score all the way to 70, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of St. Cloud Tech/Apollo by a score of 73-70.
Despite the defeat, Sauk Rapids-Rice got a solid performance out of Courtney Paulsen, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 12 rebounds. Paulsen scored a full 47.1% of Sauk Rapids-Rice's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Olivia Mohs was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fergus Falls had just enough and edged Bemidji out 48-45 on Saturday.
Sauk Rapids-Rice now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Fergus Falls, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.
