The Shaker Bison's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They had just enough and edged Duanesburg out 54-52. That's another feather in the cap for Shaker, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Shaker found their leader in underclassman Sofia Lanni, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Lanni scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sierra Carter, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Shaker's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Duanesburg, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Shaker will be playing in front of their home fans against Niskayuna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Duanesburg, they will head out on the road to square off against Mayfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mayfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 321st, while Duanesburg is ranked 72nd).
