They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Maritime Academy Charter 55-25 at home. The win was just what Carver High School of Engineering & Science needed coming off of a 61-27 loss in their prior contest.
Carver High School of Engineering & Science found their leader in underclassman Matthew Mcfield, who scored 13 points along with five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for Mcfield. Fareed Brown was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Olney's 18-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell just short of Central by a score of 40-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Olney has scored all season.
Carver High School of Engineering & Science's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Olney, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
