Pennington waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ewing Blue Devils, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Hawks have posted since April 7th.

Ryan Richer and London Rauls did most of the damage at the plate: Richer went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Rauls went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Chase Hallett, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Pennington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive games.

Pennington's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Ewing, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Looking ahead, Pennington will face off against Blair Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ewing, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lawrence at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
