The T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets were the 50-45 winner over the Daniel Lions when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. T.L. Hanna was the victim of a tough 52-31 defeat at the hands of Daniel on Tuesday. T.L. Hanna has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
T.L. Hanna's loss came despite strong showings from Aubrey Mathis and Tamerah Wynn. Mathis scored eight points along with five rebounds, while Wynn scored eight points along with seven rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
T.L. Hanna's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-9. As for Daniel, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
T.L. Hanna will head out on the road to face off against James F. Byrnes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. James F. Byrnes presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than T.L. Hanna in South Carolina (James F. Byrnes is ranked 15th, while T.L. Hanna is ranked 85th). As for Daniel, they will be playing at home against Walhalla at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Walhalla focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday.
