Tuscaloosa Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 19-4 margin over the Fairfield Tigers. Fans of the Knights have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Lilly Crane and Morgan Langkawel did most of the damage at the plate: Crane went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs, while Langkawel went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Alicia Kirsch, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.
Tuscaloosa Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .840. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .588 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Tuscaloosa Academy pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
