After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chanute Christian, the El Dorado Christian Buffalos were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They strolled past Varsity Opponent with points to spare, taking the game 38-21. That's another feather in the cap for El Dorado Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading El Dorado Christian to victory were McKenzie Cole and Breann Reasoner. Cole scored 16 points along with nine rebounds, while Reasoner dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Cole has scored at least a third of El Dorado Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Bryson, who scored five points.
El Dorado Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Varsity Opponent, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 24 of their last 28 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 81-294-1 record this season.
El Dorado Christian will head out on the road to take on Outreach Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will be playing at home against Laurel HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Laurel HomeSchool's defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Varsity Opponent's offense will have their work cut out for them.
