If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Osceola. On Friday they will take on Corning at 7:00 PM. Osceola know how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Corning like a good challenge.
Osceola put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They steamrollered Piggott 49-14. Junior J.D. Winda, who rushed for 182 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Osceola's success. One of the most memorable plays of the matchup was Winda's 70-yard touchdown rush in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Corning, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to eight. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-53 to Newport.
Everything came up roses for Osceola against Corning the last time the two teams met as the team secured a 51-6 win. Will Osceola repeat their success, or does Corning have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
