Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Ganado Indians walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Bobcats 41-12 on the road. The result was nothing new for Ganado, who have now won ten matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ganado to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylan Holt, who rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Holt was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards. Another player making a difference was Bryce Ullman, who threw for 192 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes.
The victory (which was Ganado's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.8 points per game. As for Refugio, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2.
Ganado will be playing at home against Timpson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Timpson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 games -- so hopefully Ganado likes a good challenge. Refugio does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
