Basketball Recap: Bensalem Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Bensalem Fighting Owls didn't have quite enough to beat the Phoenixville Phantoms and fell 67-65.

Despite the loss, Bensalem still got an impressive performance from Amir Drummond, who on his way to 49 points and seven boards. The game was Drummond's third in a row with at least 16 points. Aidan Mayfield was another key player, putting up six points.

Bensalem's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Phoenixville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Bensalem does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Phoenixville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Downingtown West at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Phoenixville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
