Last Tuesday, Maranatha Baptist Academy was beaten by the Rangers 88-30. Maranatha Baptist Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-10.
Despite the loss, Maranatha Baptist Academy saw an underclassman step up: Clarence Brown scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Rolla HomeSchool strolled past the Eagles with points to spare back in January, taking the game 55-41. Given Rolla HomeSchool's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Eagles are ranked 510th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Maranatha Baptist Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Rolla HomeSchool, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Things could have been worse for Maranatha Baptist Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 75-58 loss to the in their previous matchup back in December of 2023.
