Centerville extended their winning streak to five on Monday, bumping them up to 18-6. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Beavercreek Beavers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-2 on Friday.
Caitlyn Belcher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Belcher was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Natalie Carr was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 12 games. The team also got some help courtesy of Chayse Adkins, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Centerville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .513. They are a perfect 14-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
As for Beavercreek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 14-6 Springboro and 14-7 Springboro (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 70.8% over those games).
On Beavercreek's side, Mckenna Beck 2027 made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Annessa Stamper 2026, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Centerville and Beavercreek should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Elks will take on Springboro at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (22 vs. 94). Meanwhile, Beavercreek (ranked 153rd) will meet Springfield (ranked 333rd) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
