Even though the Millington Central Trojans have not done well against the Munford Cougars recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Millington Central enjoyed a cozy 65-46 win over Munford. The victory was nothing new for Millington Central as they're now sitting on five straight.
Bailey Boone was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Arianna Whiten was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Millington Central is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Munford, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Millington Central won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Jasper at 12:30 p.m. on January 13th. Jasper will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Munford, they will head out on the road to square off against Covington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Covington is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
