There's no place like home for the Jordan Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 67-57 win over East Chapel Hill on Wednesday. Given Jordan's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while East Chapel Hill is ranked 343rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jordan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julian Lowe, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lowe has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Bryan, who scored eight points along with 16 rebounds.
East Chapel Hill lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaiah Styron, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Samuel Smith, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Jordan's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. As for East Chapel Hill, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Jordan will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverside-Durham at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverside-Durham is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.6 points per game. As for East Chapel Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Hillside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Jayde Braswell and Styron.
