It was a good run, but The Northgate Vikings unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. Their tough 35-13 defeat to Harris County might stick with them for a while. Northgate was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Harris County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Mataye Youman was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Harris County's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
Northgate's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Harris County, their win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Drew the next time they take the field. Harris County will head out to face Drew at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Northgate will host them at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd.
