In what's become a running theme this season, the Millington Central Trojans gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Covington 44-15 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Millington Central has posted since December 4, 2023.
Leading Millington Central to victory were Alana Whiten and Kyla Taylor. Whiten scored six points along with four steals, while Taylor scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Bailey Boone was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Millington Central pushed their record up to 10-8 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Covington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millington Central will take on Craigmont at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Craigmont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 two weeks ago. As for Covington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brighton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
