Maiden is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Patton a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Maiden Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patton Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Patton took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Maiden, who comes in off a win.
Maiden's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over West Iredell. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Blue Devils yet this season.

Raegan Rembert made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one run.
In other batting news, Sydney Sigmon and Maddy Clontz did most of the damage at the plate: Sigmon went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Clontz went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI Clontz has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Aaralyn Bodenheimer, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Maiden kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Patton fell victim to R-S Central and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to the Hilltoppers.
Patton's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Maiden, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Everything went Maiden's way against Patton when the teams last played back in April of 2016, as Maiden made off with a 13-5 win. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
