Willow Glen has gone a perfect 4-0 against Santa Teresa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Willow Glen is taking a road trip to face off against Santa Teresa at 4:00 p.m. Willow Glen is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Willow Glen is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Westmont with a sharp 15-5 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won three matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Catalina Medina made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-5. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sienna Wilson, who went 4-for-5 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Haley Ocumen was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile, Santa Teresa suffered their closest defeat since April 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Westmont by a score of 5-3.
Santa Teresa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Wasson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That hit was Wasson's first of the season.
Willow Glen pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Santa Teresa, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.
