Houston Math Science & Tech is 0-9 against Bellaire since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Bellaire Cardinals at noon
Houston Math Science & Tech fell victim to Lamar's stalwart defense on Saturday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Texans at home and fell 72-0. While losing is never fun, Houston Math Science & Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1133rd, while Lamar is ranked 17th).
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Bellaire, as they earned their first road win of the season. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 15-14 win over Westbury.
Bellaire can attribute much of their success to Cordavian Adams, who rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 58 receiving yards.
With Houston Math Science & Tech's defeat and Bellaire's win, both teams now sport identical 2-5 records.
Houston Math Science & Tech suffered a grim 37-14 defeat to Bellaire in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Can Houston Math Science & Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
