The Stuart W. Cramer Storm came into Tuesday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged North Gaston out 57-54. The victory was just what Stuart W. Cramer needed coming off of a 68-39 defeat in their prior game.
Leading Stuart W. Cramer to victory were Amari Littlejohn and DJ Cross. Littlejohn dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds, while Cross dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Littlejohn pulled down eight or more rebounds. Makhi Brown was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
North Gaston lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jalen Howard, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jurnee Lattimore, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
Stuart W. Cramer's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. As for North Gaston, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stuart W. Cramer will square off against the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Point has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 558 points over their last eight games. As for North Gaston, they will head out on the road to face off against the Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Forestview has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
