Mifflinburg and Williamsport are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Millionaires at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mifflinburg will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
It was a proper cat-fight when Mifflinburg faced off against Bloomsburg on Monday. The Wildcats skirted past the Panthers 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted against the Panthers since April 30, 2016.

Mifflinburg got a big performance out of Landen Murray, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave Murray a new career-high. Kaiden Kmett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Mifflinburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Williamsport, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let Shikellamy get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Millionaires in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won seven in a row.
The result came thanks to Ryan Schur's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Williamsport is 4-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-3 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Camden March was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Grant Vilello, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Williamsport's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Mifflinburg, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Mifflinburg has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Williamsport struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Mifflinburg came up short against Williamsport in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 6-3. Will the Wildcats have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
