The Avon Eagles were the 49-46 winner over the Berea-Midpark Titans when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Avon took a 60-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Berea-Midpark on Wednesday. Avon just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amelia Holbrook, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Molly Drenik, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Avon's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Berea-Midpark, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.
Avon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-40 win vs. Midview on the 10th. Berea-Midpark has also already played their next matchup, a 48-45 defeat against North Ridgeville on the 10th.
