LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Special teams carried
Pleasure Ridge Park (Louisville, Ky.) to a 48-18 victory over Central Hardin (Cecilia, Ky.) on Saturday as the return units contributed two touchdowns. The Panthers's special teams scored on a kick return and a punt return.
After taking the lead on a punt return touchdown by
Jacob Clair in the first quarter, Pleasure Ridge Park led 28-10 at the half.
PRP expanded its lead to 23 points entering the fourth quarter. The Louisville school scored two times in the third, including once on a kick return touchdown by
Taywan Taylor.
With the win the Panthers extended their winning streak to 12 games. Pleasure Ridge Park defeated the Rebels 44-20 last week.
Zack Helton played well for the Bruins. The sophomore wide receiver caught one touchdown.
PRP's most effective player was
Spencer Sumpter. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns.
The defeat comes as a step back for Central Hardin, which notched a 10-2 victory over Seneca in its previous outing.
