Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pusch Ridge Christian Academy comes in on three and Florence on four.
Even though American Leadership Academy - Ironwood scored an imposing 59 points on Saturday, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy still came out on top. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy slipped by American Leadership Academy - Ironwood 60-59.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pusch Ridge Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben Lambe, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Lambe is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mason Hoke, who scored 23 points.
Meanwhile, Florence didn't have too much trouble with San Tan Foothills on the road on Friday as they won 50-32.
Adrian Taufaasau and Logan Stenson were among the main playmakers for Florence as the former dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Stenson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Devin Cundiff was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's record is now 10-7. As for Florence, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy opened the new year with a less-than-successful 50-41 loss to Florence. Can Pusch Ridge Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
