North Forest made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Washington, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Eagles a 6-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

North Forest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.3 runs. As for Washington, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat North Forest by a score of 10-2 on Saturday.
