Jalyn Ortiz posted a new career-high in doubles on Friday. She went 3-for-4 with three doubles, one stolen base, and one run. She was up against MacArthur and has quite the history against that squad, as she also had a great game the last time she faced them back in March of 2024.

Even though Ortiz couldn't lead Burbank over MacArthur, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sadly, Ortiz's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Bulldogs' six-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, Ortiz and the Bulldogs surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Saturday's match.
