Baseball Recap: Sand Creek Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sand Creek strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Britton Deerfield Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-3 last Wednesday.

Jared Snyder and Reid Hulett were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Snyder pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Hulett struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. At bat, Snyder scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Hulett went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Ivan Wilkinson was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Strahan, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Sand Creek's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Britton Deerfield, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sand Creek will take on Swanton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Britton Deerfield, they will challenge Washtenaw Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
