After a string of three wins, the Davis Aerospace Tech Aviators's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were dealt a 65-28 loss at the hands of Douglass. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Davis Aerospace Tech in their matchups with Douglass: they've now lost eight in a row.
Several Aviators players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jontae Brooks, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Myron Dean, who scored ten points.
Davis Aerospace Tech's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Douglass, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davis Aerospace Tech will challenge Cody at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Douglass, they will head out on the road to square off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 331 points over their last five matches.
