Lincoln have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Gardiner at 4:00 PM. Lincoln come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
Lincoln ended up forfeiting their game against Hot Springs 0-50 two weeks ago. Lincoln's loss continues a disappointing trend for the squad, making it six losses in a row.
Meanwhile, Gardiner came into their this week averaging 42.57 points per game, but Gardiner fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They were dealt a punishing 7-44 defeat at the hands of White Sulphur Springs. Gardiner were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-32.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. We'll see if Lincoln are able to find more success (and make for a more exciting match than their last) when the teams meet up.
