Baseball Recap: Hays Has No Trouble Against Seguin

Hays was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Seguin on Saturday. The Hawks blew past the Matadors 10-3. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Hays pushed their record up to 17-7-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Seguin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-8-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hays will take on Liberty Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seguin, they will face off against Highlands at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Matadors are facing the Owls at the right time seeing as the Owls are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
