The East Bernard Brahmas will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hempstead Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
East Bernard unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 47-37 to Van Vleck.
Meanwhile, Hempstead pushed their score all the way to 61 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Boling by a score of 64-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Hempstead has suffered yet this season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Dontae Houston, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jamari Idlebird, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
East Bernard's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Hempstead, they bumped their record down to 13-12 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
East Bernard strolled past Hempstead when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 61-42. Will East Bernard repeat their success, or does Hempstead have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
