4A Region III District 22 recap Oct. 23, 2012
Ridge Point moved up to 483 from 564 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region III District 22. Ridge Point climbed the ranks as a result of topping Fort Bend Willowridge 52-19.
Fort Bend Marshall extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Tomball Memorial, 56-10. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Buffalos.
Tomball's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Drew Reynolds has thrown for 709 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Dmitri Scott has 10 catches for 145 yards. Xavier Powell leads the league in rushing with 782 yards.
A big matchup in 4A Region III District 22 this week will be when Tomball takes on Ridge Point. As it stands, the Cougars are in fourth, while Ridge Point is in third.
Tomball took down Spring Woods 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Scott ran for 177 yards in the win.
