With a playoff win on the line, Langley rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Centreville Wildcats by a score of 54-47. The win was nothing new for the Saxons as they're now sitting on 14 straight.
Langley was led to victory by Alice Allen and Mariah Armah. Allen shot 78% from the field to rack up 15 points, while Armah went 5-for-12 on her way to 20 points along with five boards and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Allen now owns an excellent 45.9% shooting accuracy. Maddie Shamloo was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.
Langley pushed their record up to 22-3 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points over those games. As for Centreville, their loss dropped their record down to 21-5.
Langley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-37 win against Oakton on the 28th. Centreville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
