After three games on the road, Wicomico is heading back home. They will take on the Decatur Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Wicomico earned a 82-74 win over the Warriors.
Meanwhile, Decatur waltzed into their contest on Saturday with five straight wins but they left with six. They walked away with a 69-61 victory over Bennett. Given Decatur's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Clippers are ranked 97th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Decatur's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Davin Chandler, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brycen Coleman, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Wicomico's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Decatur, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.
Wicomico suffered a grim 63-39 defeat to the Seahawks when the teams last played back in January. Will Wicomico have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
