Webberville has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Durand Railroaders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Wednesday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Webberville had to settle for a 62-60 defeat against Maple Valley.
Meanwhile, Durand waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They walked away with a 76-67 victory over Mt. Morris.
Markell Tate continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. It was the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Levi Smith, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds.
Webberville's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Durand, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Webberville strolled past Durand when the teams last played back in February of 2021 by a score of 61-46. Will Webberville repeat their success, or does Durand have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
