The St. Peter's Spartans had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a serious blow against South Central on Friday, falling 65-36. St. Peter's has struggled against South Central recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Bryan Chaffee was the offensive standout of the matchup as he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gunner Ray, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
St. Peter's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for South Central, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Peter's will challenge Western Reserve at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for South Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Crestview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
