Choudrant is 10-0 against the Demons since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Choudrant Aggies will look to defend their home court against the Downsville Demons at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Choudrant has three straight wins, the Demons have 51 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Choudrant has not done well against the Tigers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Choudrant came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers and snuck past 77-74. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Choudrant has posted since December 15, 2023.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 61 points the game before, Downsville were a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 78-20 loss at the hands of Simsboro. While losing is never fun, Downsville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while the Tigers are ranked 164th).
Despite the loss, Downsville saw an underclassman step up: Zander King scored five points.
Choudrant's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-12. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Downsville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-23.
Everything came up roses for Choudrant against the Demons in their previous meeting last Friday as the team secured a 88-26 win. Will Choudrant repeat their success, or do the Demons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
