Golden put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 41-34 victory over the Colorado Academy Mustangs. The 41-point effort marked the Demons' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Colorado Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Anna Johnson, who went 6 of 15 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds, and Hannah Smith, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. Johnson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Golden pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Colorado Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Golden won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Steamboat Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Golden is facing Steamboat Springs at the right time seeing as Steamboat Springs is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Colorado Academy, they and DSST: Montview will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
