Baseball Recap: Apex Friendship Comes Up Short

Apex Friendship was the 15-8 winner over Middle Creek when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Apex Friendship Patriots fell just short of the Middle Creek Mustangs by a score of 3-2 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by just one run.

Apex Friendship saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Cirasole, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double. The dominant performance gave Cirasole a new career-high in hits.

This is the second loss in a row for Apex Friendship and nudges their season record down to 2-4. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Middle Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apex Friendship will square off against Hamden Hall Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Apex Friendship has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Middle Creek, they will challenge Enloe at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
