Volleyball Recap: Basic Wins Going Away Against Mojave

Basic barely beat Mojave the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves blew past the Rattlers 3-0 on Wednesday. That three-set margin sets a new team best for the Wolves this season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-21.

Elias Ramos paced Basic's offense, picking up 14 kills. Ramos got some help from Kevin Millano and his 14 assists. Millano was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

The win made it two in a row for Basic and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Mojave, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Basic will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Legacy at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Mojave, they will take on Cimarron-Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
