The Wilmington Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lisle. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wilmington in their matchups with Lisle: they've now lost three in a row.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alaina Clark, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Liaromatis, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Wilmington has been struggling recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Lisle, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.
Wilmington won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dwight at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Dwight is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Lisle, they will head out on the road to challenge Manteno at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Manteno is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
