Cherryvale found their leader in underclassman Leuie Umbarger, who scored 19 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Umbarger has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Fox, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Neodesha posted their biggest win since December 7, 2023 on Saturday. Everything went their way against Southeast as Neodesha made off with a 61-40 win. With Neodesha ahead 44-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Cherryvale's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Neodesha, their win ended a 12-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.
Cherryvale was taken down by Neodesha 76-24 in their previous matchup on January 5th. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Cherryvale was down 49-14.
