Caldwell had won two straight games and Carter Wheeldin did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Caldwell Redskins enjoyed a cozy 57-38 victory over the River Pilots thanks in part to Wheeldin, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 boards. The matchup was his third in a row with at least 28 points.

Garrett Brown was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals. Those three steals gave him a new career-high.

Caldwell's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

Coming up, Caldwell will face off against Toronto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Monroe Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Monroe Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
