among those reporting that head coach Sharman White of
Miller Grove (Lithonia, Ga.) will join the basketball staff at Georgia State University.
Taking over the Miller Grove program when the school opened its doors in 2005, White has become one of the most successful high school basketball coaches in the United States.
The Wolverines have won seven state titles – including six in a row from 2009-14. White's 2015-16 team was among his best, going 31-3, earning a bid to Dick's Nationals in New York City and finishing ranked No. 15 nationally by MaxPreps.
White was 268-60 in 11 seasons at the school. He will work under the tutelage of head coach Ron Hunter at Georgia State, a program coming off a disappointing 16-14 record last season.
Several media outlets reported that White was also under consideration for a position at Georgia Tech under new Yellow Jacket head coach Josh Pastner.

In addition to his duties at Miller Grove, Sharman White was a member of USA Basketball's Junior National Team staff.
